About Dr. Keith Levinson
Keith M Levinson O.D., a lifelong resident of NJ, is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. SCO, one of the most competitive optometry schools in the country in terms of admissions, is considered by many to have the best clinical program in the world.
"Dr. Keith" has successfully completed two externships, first at the Naval Health Clinic of New England, in Newport, RI. There he worked with the noted eye surgeon Dr. (Commander) Octavio Borges in providing primary eye care and traumatic injury treatments to military personnel and their families.
Dr Keith's second externship was in Stowe, Vermont under Dr. Dorothy Brodman. His responsibilities included pre and post operative care as well as management of pediatric disorders.
Dr. Keith's area of interests include pediatric ocular dysfunction (ie eye movement anomalies) and geriatric visual concerns (ie. the latest in dry eye treatments.)
Dr Keith is a 5th degree black belt in Isshinryu karate (don't worry folks - he uses his karate skills for defensive purposes only). His interest in anime has led him to lecture on visual perception in anime at numerous conventions. Dr. Keith is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
